Between collects information needed to operate journaling, AI reflections, subscriptions, and support.

• Journal entries and related user content that you write in the app.
• Usage metadata, such as interaction events and feature usage.
• Account details if you choose to log in (for example, sign-in identifiers and profile information).
• Subscription status and entitlement information provided through Apple billing.
• Product analytics events used to understand app performance and usage.
• Crash diagnostics and technical error signals, if enabled/applicable.

To generate automated reflections and summaries, relevant journal content may be sent over secure connections to third-party AI processing providers.

AI-generated output is automated and may be incomplete, incorrect, or otherwise inaccurate.

We use contractual safeguards with AI providers for service delivery and protection obligations.

We do not state that your data is used to train public foundation models unless we explicitly disclose that in writing.

Depending on your account usage and product configuration, entries may be stored on-device and/or on servers operated by us or our service providers.

We apply reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information.

Where supported by the platform and network, data is transmitted using secure connections.

For entries stored on your device, protection also depends on device-level controls such as passcode and biometrics.

Between does not claim end-to-end encryption and does not claim encryption at rest implemented by us for all stored data.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Journal entries are retained until you delete them.

You can delete entries in the app.

You can request account deletion by contacting support@betweenjournal.com. We may require verification before completing deletion requests.

Aggregated or de-identified analytics records may be retained for product and operational analysis.

We do not sell personal data.

We share data only as needed to provide the service with the following categories of providers:

• AI processing providers.
• Analytics providers.
• Apple for subscription billing and entitlement workflows.
• Hosting and infrastructure providers.

Between is not intended for children under 13 years of age.

You may request access to information associated with your account and request deletion, subject to legal and operational requirements.
